In 1986 Sharron joined the Gornal Girls' Brigade / Boys' Brigade Band playing trumpet. She became drum major in 1990 when the band competed in BYBA Contest Class. Unfortunately, the unit disbanded in 1996.

In 1997, Sharron headed North to join the Staffordshire Knights, where she joined the Bass Drum line, moving to Soprano trumpet in 1998, 1999 and 2000.

She has visited DCI on 5 occasions...  2000, 2001, 2002 & 2003, and 2006. Her favourite Corps is Blue Devils and she lists her favourite DCI show as Cadets 2000 - 'We are the Future'

Sharron instructs our Brass Beginners Section, helps out with the Colour Guard, and took on the role of Corps Welfare Officer during 2005.
