Rob started his drumming days back in 1984 with the 8th North
Staffs Boys' Brigade. He began on the old Tenor drum, moved onto Snare and eventually became Drum Major, where he won the National and West Midlands Boys Brigade titles.

His Drum Corps career started when he joined Stoke BB on snare drum, then, after the demise of Stoke BB he was one of the founder members of the Staffordshire Knights where he has remained ever since.

He became the Percussion instructor in 1998 and now arranges all of the music and exercises for the Drum Line. He has also broken into the USA market by arranging exercises for Division II Corps Impulse. Another claim to fame is that these exercises are to be used in the new Pro-Mark manual.

Rob has travelled to DCI on 3 occasions - Florida in 1998 and 2003, also Buffalo in 2001 - his favourite shows being Phantom Regiment 2003. His favourite DCI Corps are Phantom Regiment, Blue Devils, Cavaliers, SCV, Velvet Knights and the Cadets.

Rob likes to listen to any kind of music ranging from Classical and Jazz  to dance and Heavy Metal!
